Linda (Lovins) Normile, 71, of Windsor, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at her home after a 23 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
As were her wishes, services will be private. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor.
Linda was born Dec. 6, 1941, in Danville, the daughter of Hubert and Josephine Lovins Doehring. She married Dale Normile on May 12, 1962, in Mattoon. She was a member of Ash Grove Christian Church. Linda was a strong woman all through her life, even when she was most ill. She was a breast cancer survivor. Linda and Dale enjoyed many trips to Branson, Mo., and Las Vegas. She loved history, especially the Civil War, bird watching, reading and Fighting Illini basketball. She had many varied interests, but most of all she loved just spending precious time with her loved ones. She was a loving homemaker. The main focus of her life was caring for her family and her pets. She leaves behind many loved ones and a lasting loving legacy.
Surviving are her husband, Dale; son, Todd and wife, Benita of Mattoon; daughter, Jill (Normile) Francis and husband, Sam of Dieterich; grandchildren, Kirk Normile of Mattoon, Holly (Normile) Brewster and husband, Hunter of Mattoon, and Lindsay Francis and Sami Francis, both of Dieterich; great-grandchildren, Jillian and Jordan; brother, Dennis Lovins and wife, Debbie of New Smyrna, Fla.; sister-in-law, Cheryl Wheatly and husband, Doug of Charleston; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jo Ann Lovins.
