---- — Charles E. “Chuck” Mosher, 84, of Effingham, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

Funeral services for Chuck will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Effingham. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Chapel, Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School. Online condolences may be left at www.hallfuneralchapel.com.

Charles was born on Oct. 17, 1928, in Watseka, the son of Charles C. and Theresa (Klug) Mosher. He married Paulagene Rettig on Sept. 1, 1951, at Sacred Heart Church in Peoria, and she survives.

Chuck was an office supervisor at WG Best Homes in Effingham for more than 30 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Effingham, a former member of the Effingham City Planning Commission, he was on the building committee for the Sacred Heart School, and he was a member of the Effingham Sports Backers.

Survivors include his wife, Paulagene “Paula”; three sons, Craig (wife, Debbie) of Effingham, Bradley (special friend, Mary Ann Holland) of Lisle, and Scott (wife, Kathy) Mosher of Effingham; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
