---- — Richard H. Wilkins, 87, of Salem died at 1:25 A.M. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Doctors Nursing & Rehab, Salem.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, Salem, with burial and military rites by Salem American Legion in Paradise Cemetery, Salem. Jamie Lee and Bob Helm will conduct the services. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home, Salem. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
Mr. Wilkins was born Jan. 24, 1926, in Iuka, the son of Raymond and Ella (Becker) Wilkins. He married Betty Jones on May 31, 1946, in Henderson, Ky.
He was a retired B&O Railroad crane operator and member of Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way and a lifetime member of American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of Salem; children, Barbara Lorenzini and husband Lew of Centralia, Jackie Schuler and husband George of Salem, Ricky Dunaway and her late husband Doug of Walnut Hill, Richard Lee Wilkins and wife Marcia of Salem, Danny Joe Wilkins of Centralia, Ronnie Wilkins of Salem, Mike Wilkins and wife Sandy of Salem, Roger Wilkins of Salem, Marsha Pritchard and husband Jim of Altamont, Mary “Tina” Wilkins of Salem, Kevin Wilkins of Walnut Hill, Jay Dee Wilkins and wife Linda of Salem, Debbie Torbeck and husband Marvin of Odin, Jeanette Hodge and husband, Kerry of Odin; sister, Hilda Hill of Salem; brother-in-law, Raymond W. Brown of Salem; several nieces and nephews; 34 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
