---- — Brittany Nicole Baker, 18, of Watson, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013.
A Celebration of Life service for Brittany will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at Effingham High School in the gym with the Rev. Dr. Roger Marshall officiating. Services are in care of Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. in the high school gym, also on Monday evening. There will be a private family burial on Tuesday at Watson Cemetery in Watson. Condolences may be left online at www.hallfuneralchapel.com.
In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to Crossroads Bank in Effingham under Anthony or Brittany Baker’s name.
Brittany Nicole Baker was born on Sept. 16, 1995, in Effingham, the daughter of Anthony E. and Victoria L. (Petska) Baker. She was a senior at Effingham High School and was very active in the Effingham Hearts Red Regiment Band. Brittany was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church in Effingham and she worked at Culver’s Restaurant in Effingham.
Survivors include her father and mother; stepfather, Tim Bloemker (fiancé, Dawn Lasher) of Effingham; four sisters, Casara (Gary) Holland of Altamont, Chelsey Baker (special friend, Nicolas Hage) of Wanantskill, NY, Heather Baker of Watson (special friend, Seth Ross) and Kacie Bloemker of Effingham; grandparents, Norman and Leona Baker of Newton, Bruce Petska of Effingham and Sandra Potter of Dieterich.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Petska, and her step-grandfather; Paul Potter.
