---- — Vera Charlene Leith, 81, of Decatur passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, in her home with her family at her side.
Services to celebrate Charlene’s life will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Homeward Bound Animal Shelter. Charlene was born on Aug. 25, 1932, in Mason, the daughter of Charles Chris and Harriett Bleuya (Nelson) Warner. She graduated from Effingham High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, animals, the outdoors and working in her flower beds. She married Donald Leith on July 17, 1952, in Decatur.
Surviving are her husband, Don; son, Chris Eric Leith (Sharon Ann) of Decatur; and daughter-in-law, Judy of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Vince Allen Leith; brothers, Curly Warner and Clark Warner; sisters, Esta Marie Cameron and Lucille Weber.
