---- — Craig Allen Nester, 40, of Newton, passed away at 2:02 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, with Larry Matson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Craig was born on August 31, 1973, in Olney, the son of Norman Wayne and Marilyn Sue (Foster) Nester. Craig was a 1991 graduate of Newton Community High School. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Newton, and Ambraw River Eagles 4475. Craig worked as a Union Concrete Finisher with the Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association, Local 143.
He enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycles. Ride Free, Brother!
Craig is survived by his mother, Marilyn (Jack) Stuckey of Newton; father, Norman “Butch” Nester of Niles, Mich.; children, Zachary Goss of Willow Hill, Megan Nester, Morgan Nester and Nicholas Newkirk, and their mother, Dawnda Nichols of Newton; granddaughter, Maddie Goss of Eberle; brothers, Troy (fiancee, Lacy Miller) Nester of Newton, and their children, Monica and Morgan, Monty (fiancee, Rebekah Diel) Nester of Newton, and their children, Payton, Dawson and Cooper, Michael (Amanda) Stuckey of Hidalgo and their children Aalina, Mylee, Kobi and Madison; special friend, Brenda Schmidt of Newton; and several aunts and uncles also survive.
Craig was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman and Delphia Foster and Jack and Maxine Nester.
