---- — Henry George “Hank” Rudolphi, 68, of Newton, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Newton, with the Rev. Stephen Willis officiating with full military rites by Jasper Post 20 American Legion. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the church. In loving memory of Hank, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, is in charge of arrangements. Henry George “Hank” was born on July 2, 1945, in Jasper County, the son of Bernard and Mary (Huffman) Rudolphi. He married Phyllis Frauli on Feb. 12, 1972, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie. Hank served his country in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. Hank worked for Reep and Son Furniture in Newton for over 20 years; E.R. Moore for 12 years and most recently worked at Martin’s IGA in Newton. Hank was a member of First Baptist Church in Newton, past commander and member of the Jasper Post 20 American Legion; current commander and member of the VFW Post 7537 of Newton and former trustee of the Newton Public Library. Hank enjoyed woodworking and reading.

Hank is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Phyllis Rudolphi of Newton; mother-in-law, Ruby Frauli of Effingham; brothers and sisters, Margie (Bob) Fuhrman-Duke of Springfield, Mary (Ralph) Gloyeske of Chesterton, Joe (Teresa) Rudolphi of Dixon, Roseann Michl of Westville, Ind., Alice (Jack) Zink of Michigan City, Ind., Teresa (Richard) Lane of Virden, and Steve (Betty) Rudolphi of Watson; several nieces and nephews; and Gracie his dog.
