---- — Ruth Caroline Jesgarz, 80, of Altamont, died at 11:15 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, with Rev. Dr. James F. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, and for one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, A.L.I.S., Altamont, Trinity Lutheran School, Stewardson, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wheaton, or Trinity Lutheran School, St. George, Utah. Ruth was born Thursday, May 25, 1933, in Montrose to George and Martha (Salzman) Blievernicht. She married Karl Heinz Jesgarz on Aug. 14, 1955, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wheeler. He preceded her in death in 2011. She was a graduate of Valparaiso University and taught at Bible Grove, then retired after many years of teaching at Altamont Lutheran Interparish School.
She is survived by her sons, Frederick (Janet) Jesgarz of Washington, Utah and Peter (Sherri) Jesgarz of Shelbyville; daughter, Mary (Diego) Ferrer of Wheaton; brother, John (Irene) Blievernicht of Dieterich; sister, Mary Bushur of Greenwood, Ind.; and 11 Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
