---- — Evelyn Eirhart, 82, of Effingham, passed away at 4:32 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, March 27, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Evelyn was born on July 3, 1930, in Sigel, the daughter of Frank A. and Bertha (Tanner) Zumbahlen. She married Bobby Lee Eirhart on Aug. 26, 1950, in Chester, and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1995. Evelyn was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Effingham. She was the owner and operator of Sign Art Sign Shop in Effingham. She enjoyed working at the Effingham Senior Center.
Evelyn is survived by her sons, Jerry (Joan) Eirhart of Shumway and Kim Eirhart of Effingham; brothers, Arthur Zumbahlen and Richard (Ruth) Zumbahlen, both of Effingham; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Charles Zumbahlen.
