Catherine A. (Niebrugge) Flynn, 83, of Effingham, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Green Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Gary Wright, 74, of St. Elmo, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at 2:35 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, by the Dr. Rev. James F. Wright. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kull Funeral Home, St. Elmo. There will be a second visitation from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, rural Loudon Township, Fayette County, Beecher City. Gary Ray Wright was born on Dec. 10, 1938, in rural Loudon Township, Fayette County, a fifth child into the family of George and Blanche (Durbin) Wright. Gary grew up in rural St. Elmo with his brothers Dwight, James and Oliver; and sister, Shirley. He married Ella Mae McVicker, the love of his life on March 25, 1959, in the church parsonage, Vandalia. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2008. Together, Gary and Ella Mae were blessed with six children, Larry, Craig, Danny, Patricia, Janice and Sandra.
