Mary Isabel Logue, 85, of St. Elmo, passed away at 7:44 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Evergreen Nursing Home in Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at C & A Pagel Funeral Home, St. Elmo, with visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
Mrs. Logue was born March 23, 1928, in Canton, to John and Grace (Roberts) Williams. She married Arthur I. Logue on Dec. 24, 1946, who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1997.
Mary worked as a cook at Stuckey’s Restaurant in Altamont, St. Elmo Grade School and the Ramada Inn in Effingham. She taught Bible School at the Springhill Presbyterian Church for several years. She also loved attending to her and canning vegetables.
In her passing, she leaves behind her sons, Richard Logue of Beecher City and Steven Logue of St. Elmo; stepbrother, David Oglesby of St. Elmo; and sisters, Sally West of Iowa, Patty (husband, Mike) Caraway of St. Elmo and Betty Ann (husband, Bobby) Brown of St. Elmo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Junior and Lorence Williams; son, Thomas; sister, Donna J. Bubb; and brother-in-law, Jerry West.
