---- — Joan Lutz, 67, of Altamont, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Altamont Living Museum with Rev. Roger McIntire officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Monday) at the Living Museum. Joan was born on Tuesday, July 9, 1946 in Evanston to Harold and Dorothy (Gower) Minter. She married Dan Lutz on May 25, 1996. She was a member of MENSA and was an accomplished artist.
She is survived by her husband, Dan of Altamont; sons, Clark Ellis of Waterbury, Conn. and Randy (Jennifer) Ellis of O’Fallon; stepson, Josh (Katia) Lutz of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters, Corinn Ellis and Julie Ellis both of Tampa, Fla.; stepdaughter, Heather (Dave) Collins of Centennial, Colo.; sister, Pam Jensen of South Pasedena, Calif; two grandchildren, Jonah and Jillian Ellis; and stepgrandchildren, Matthew Lutz and twins, Alec and Andrei Lutz.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and John Minter; and sister, Lynn Haven.
