---- — Priscilla Ann Scholes, 80, of St. Elmo, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, rural St. Elmo, with the Rev. John Heicher officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery, rural St. Elmo. Visitation will be for two hours prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Friendship Manor, St. Elmo, or the donor’s choice. Priscilla was born on Saturday, Oct. 15, 1932, in St. Elmo, to Curtis and Kathryn (Logue) Riley. She married Vernon W. Scholes on May 9, 1949, in Beecher City. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1994. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, rural St. Elmo.
She is survived by her sons, Roger (Sue) Scholes of Brownstown and Ray (Peggy) Scholes of St. Elmo; her daughters, Shelia (Bob) Kimbro and Sherri Scholes, both of St. Elmo; her brothers, Curt (Shelby) Riley of Altamont, and Dennis (Patty) Riley of St. Elmo; her sister, Mary Jane (Fred) Gottman of St. Elmo; nine grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Larry Riley; and sisters, June Rhodes and Peggy Logue.
