Patricia Faye Bialeschki, 84, of Shelbyville, formerly of Champaign, died at 4:38 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Shelbyville Manor.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cowden United Methodist Church. Owens Funeral Home, Champaign, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.StJude.org, or the donor’s choice. Patricia had a deep abiding love for children. Patricia was born Jan. 21, 1930 in rural Shelby County, the daughter of Robert and Faye (Lewis) Armstrong. She married Paul Bialeschki, who preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1976. She was a retired accountant. Patricia was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Champaign, for many years, and the Eagles Club.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Kelly Garrett (Quentin) of Mode; great-grandchildren, Kasey, Emma, and Jackson Garrett, also of Mode; brothers, Forest Armstrong of Estero, Fla., and Max Armstrong of Shelbyville; sisters, Maude Baldwin of Charleston, Jessie (Edward) Polley of Decatur, Glenna (Robert) Taylor of rural Beecher City, Marian (Brad) Lorton of Riverton, and Eileen (Robert) McElroy of Estero, Fla. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Mary Armstrong of Taylorville and Gerneda Armstrong of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; daughter, Nancy Warner; brothers, Richard Armstrong, Wayne Armstrong, Russell Armstrong, Bill Armstrong, Leo Armstrong; and sisters, Betty Armstrong and Joan Cox.
