ST. PETER —
Rachel Hartmann, 90, of St. Peter, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, St. Peter, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the church or the donor’s choice. Pagel Funeral Home, St. Peter, is in charge of arrangements.
Rachel was born March 19, 1922, at Mount Pulaski, the daughter of Harry and Frieda (Rubin) Lotz. She married Erich Hartmann on Dec. 25, 1946, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, and he preceded her on June 9, 2007. She was a homemaker, farm wife, enjoyed playing cards and a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary (Nate) Fortman of St. Peter; sister-in-law, Lela Lotz of St. Peter; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Rachel was preceded by her parents; brother, Elroy Lotz; and sister, Alice Wollin.
