Dale Lewis Kuhlig, 86, of Louisville, died at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Flora Gardens Care Center, Flora.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, with the Revs. Carroll Ross and Dallas Bear officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 11, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Christian Church. Dale was born Jan. 8, 1927, in Clay County, the son of Charles W. and Hazel "Gammon" Kuhlig. He married Dorothy June "Atchison" Kuhlig on June 19, 1948, in Flora, and she survives.
He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder. He loved antique tractors and restoring cars with his sons.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kuhlig of Louisville; sons, Gary (Cheryl) Kuhlig of Louisville and Dan (Sherry) Kuhlig of Flora; daughter, Diana (Steve) Hatton of Vincennes, Ind.; three grandchildren, Kim (Dr. Harry) Carter of Farfield, Adrien (Chuck) McFadden of Lincoln and Matthew (Bethany) Kuhlig of Flora.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and Lyle; and nephew, Ray Kuhlig.
