Virginia Fulk, 90, of Effingham, went to be the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham with Pastor Kevin Colcalsure officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Montrose Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Cornerstone Christian Church Building Fund. Virginia was born July 26, 1923 the daughter of Granville and Iva (Grissom) Kingery in Cumberland County. She married Robert Fulk on Oct. 19, 1944 in Dieterich and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1986.
Virginia was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Effingham. She was an excellent cook and especially a good pie maker, following in the Kingery women’s tradition. She loved her children and grandchildren so much and stated many times that’s what she lived for. We were truly blessed to have her for a mother.
Survivors include her children, Carol (Gene) Krumreich of Mode, Donald (Sharon) Fulk of Teutopolis, Gary (Karen) Fulk of Greenup, Steve (Cheryl) Fulk and Donna (Randy) Hall of Effingham. There are 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, brothers, Forrest Kingery of Casey and Dallas (Hazel) Kingery of Effingham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, daughter Shirley, grand daughter, Angela, sisters, Beulah, Bernice, Reba and Barbara, brothers, Noble and Vernon.
