---- — Imogene A. Dial, 76, of Effingham, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Brookstone Suites in Effingham.
Cremation rites will be accorded and memorial services for Imogene will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham, with the Rev. Earl Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Moccasin Twp., Beecher City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Hall Funeral Chapel, Effingham, is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.hallfuneralchapel.com.
Imogene was born on April 23, 1937, in Beecher City, the daughter of Percy and Melinda (Hammer) Manuel. She worked at General Electric in Mattoon for 33 years making flash cubes. Imogene was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Point and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham.
Imogene enjoyed playing with her dog, Magic; getting her nails done, going on vacations and spending time with her son, Brad.
Survivors include son, David Bradley “Brad” Dial of Effingham; grandson, Nathan Bradley Gruel; nephew, Travis Manuel; and niece, Marnie (Bill) Murray.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Glenda Kay Dial.
