---- — Dustin Blake Burgess, 30, of Beecher City, passed away at 8:04 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, at his residence.
A celebration of Dustin’s life will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Beecher City. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until service time. He was born Dec. 5, 1982, in Mattoon, the son of Edwina Eileen Zarate and Johnny Ray Burgess. He was a member of the Mid-Southern Illinois Bully Breed Club and operated Wolf Creek Pits.
Surviving are his daughters, Helena Eileen Rose Burgess and her mother, Juanita Carver of Imperial, Mo., and Jalizah Rayne Burgess and her mother, Kasey Schlanser of Beecher City; mother Edwina Zarate of Beecher City; grandparents, Jim and Ronda DuBridge of Farina; and aunts, Stefane Smith (Randy) of Cowden, Shelle Sloan (John) of Beecher City and Stacey Bowlin (Jamie) of Effingham.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Eileen and Edwin “Buss” Barr.
