---- — Clifford E. Gunn, 93, U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Signature Healthcare, Newburgh, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Ind., with Bro. Eddie Olberding officiating. Burial will be in New Cliff Cemetery, Cannelton, Ind., with military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today, Feb. 6, and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Dale Church of Christ. Surviving are his three sons, Robert W. “Bob” (Joan) Gunn, Effingham, C. Paul Gunn (Jan), Evansville, Ind., and Jon M. Gunn (Julie), Santa Claus, Ind.; grandchildren, Melissa Harper, Pamela Seaman, Jennifer Claycomb, Kelly Wagoner, Abby Kamuf and Kris Gunn; great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth M. Gunn, Cannelton, Ind.; stepsons, Larry Bender (Myra) and Gene Bender (Linda); stepgrandchildren; and his companion of five years, Lois Hartman, Tell City, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 43 years, Ruth E. (May) Gunn in 1987; his second wife, Betty Bender Gunn, in 2008; and his brothers, Floyd and Ray Gunn.
