---- — Luella G. (Probst) Will, 86, of Newton, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at her home.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wendelin, with the Rev. Mark Stec celebrating Mass. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Wendelin. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church and one half hour before the service. In loving memory of Luella, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Parish Center. Luella was born on Oct. 9, 1927, in Effingham County, the daughter of Allie and Frances (Hartke) Probst. She married Edwin Will on April 8, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1997. Luella was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin. She loved to embroider, bake pies, play cards and go mushroom hunting.

Luella is survived by eight children, Daniel (Janet) Will of Allendale, Maurice (Lynn) Will of Newton, Allen (Joanne) Will of Toledo, Paul (Terry) Will of Newton, Roy (Yvonne) Will of Newton, Carl (Becky) Will of Newton, Janice (Chris) Wagy of Robinson, and Jeanne (Jon) Bourquin of Apple River; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Norbert Probst of Wheeler, and Melvin (Clarice) Probst of Effingham.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Missy Will; great-grandson, Gavin Romack; brother, Clarence Probst; sisters, Emma Niendiek, Verena Koester, Florence Probst and twin Eleanor Buening.
