---- — Loretta M. Isley, 87, formerly of Island Grove, passed away Friday evening, December 20, 2013 at Nazareth Living Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., today, Dec. 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Island Grove, with burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family with arrangements. www.bauerfh.com
Loretta was born on February 21, 1926 in Teutopolis, daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna (Weishaar) Pals. She married Clark L. Isley on November 12, 1946 and he survives. Loretta was a member of St. Isidore Parish, Island Grove.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clark Isley; daughter, Victoria (Wayne) Gallagher; sons, Glen (Lynn), Dennis (Carolyn), Kevin (Karen) and Brett(Schuyler); brothers, Ray (Betty) Pals and Robert (Nancy) Pals; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Elvira(Ed) Faltemier.
