---- — Donna Faye Bailey, 72, of Newton, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, with Bill Ikemire officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Newton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In loving memory of Donna, memorials may be made to Southeastern Illinois Hospice. Online condolences may be left at www.blakefh.com.
Donna was born on Sept. 29, 1940, in Eldorado, the daughter of Wayne Barnard and Nellie (Davis) Barnard Peachee. She married John Bailey and he survives. Donna was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 497 in Newton where she had served as the worthy matron. She was also a caregiver to many.
Donna is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Bailey of Newton; five children, Ed (Kim) Buckley of Arcola, Wayne (Kendra) Buckley of Tuscola, Fred (Michelle) Buckley of Oblong, Mark (Pam) Buckley of Newton, and Susie (Terry) Spelbring of Newton; brother, Morty (Judy) Peachee of Pueblo, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Aline Moore; brother, Kenneth Barnard; and aunt, Edith.
