---- — Karen R. Teets, 71, of Effingham, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Effingham.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. today, July 2, at Jewett Cemetery. Burial will be in Jewett Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Karen was born on July 27, 1941, in Effingham, the daughter of Noble and Eleanor (Hutmacher) Teets. Karen was the custodian at Sacred Heart Church and Grade School for 22 years, where she also attended.
Karen is survived by her sisters, Mary (Don) Willenborg of Neoga, Marsha Teets of Effingham, and Judy (Walter) Bartels of Mason; brother, David Teets of Effingham; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara Teets.
