Juanita Miller, 76, of Flora, formerly of Clay City, passsed away at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Flora Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Clay City Christian Church. Interment will be at Clay City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, March 26, and one hour prior to service time Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville. Juanita was born Nov. 18, 1936, in Faurfax, Okla., the daughter of Dennis and Edna (Doggett) Miller. She enjoyed her time as a RN for 20 years, head of pediatrics at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney. She also was a medical missionary for the African Christian Missions for 25 years in Zaire and Mozambique, Africa, She was a member of Clay City Christian Church.
Juanita is survived by sister, Betty Duff of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Nancy Miller of Clay City and Ilah Miller of Shelbyville, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Gary Clark of Clay City; nieces and nephews, Ron (Shirley) Payne of Ingraham, Brad (Mandy) Clark of Louisville, Wes (Cheryl) Miller of Flora, Steve (Marcia) Miller of Flora, Mary K. (Terry) Davis of Lincoln, Jack (Pam) Clark of Strasburg, Tamara Jeans of Tennessee, Marci (Brian) Gilchrist of Ann Arbor, Mich., Vicki (Scott) Guller of San Antonio, Texas, David T. (Ann) Miller of Pennsylvania, Denise (Marty) Schlachi of Seattle, Wash., Sandi (Ric) Morris of Shelbyville, Tenn., and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Everett Miller and Donald T. Miller; sisters, Cleta Mae Payne and Edna Sue Clark; brothers-in-law, Robert E. Duff and Glenn Payne; nieces and nephews, Bobby Duff, Jeff Duff and Debbie Duff.
