— Alois “Short” Willis Zander, 95, of St. Elmo, retired farmer and World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy, died at 9:58 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Friendship Manor, St. Elmo.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kessel Funeral Home, St. Elmo, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Beecher City.
